The Derivatives Technology Foundation

To support more mathematical finance and research, Saen Options founded The Derivatives Technology Foundation (TDTF) in 2000.
The objective of the foundation is to sponsor PhDs, arrange internships and support research in topics related to mathematical finance and to stimulate co-operation between academics and people who actually work with derivatives. The main activities are encouraging applied research and providing information about the actual trade in derivatives.

The young and talented people sponsored by the Foundation are being educated in both worlds. So they learn to communicate with both from the outset. Discussions between academics and practitioners result in projects and assignments being designed which are of value to all concerned. The eventual result is relevant from an academic perspective, whilst at the same time offering a solution to problems encountered in everyday practice. In other words, TDTF sponsors applied research in the classic sense of the term.
